FoodXImpact Greece: Sustainable Value Chains from Farm to Fork

On 1 October 2026, the FoodXImpact event in Greece took place at Cyttaro in Lamia, bringing the FoodChase project closer to the local agri-food and business ecosystem under the theme “Sustainable Value Chains: From Farm to Fork.”

The event created a space for knowledge exchange, discussion and networking around one central question: how can we build more sustainable, innovative and resilient food value chains while creating real opportunities for businesses and professionals across the agri-food sector?

Connecting FoodChase results with real-world perspectives

The day began with a presentation of the FoodChase project and the results achieved so far, providing participants with an overview of the project’s work and its contribution to strengthening sustainability, skills and collaboration across the food supply chain.

This was followed by keynote presentations and an open Q&A session, creating an opportunity to connect the project’s work with experiences and perspectives from the wider entrepreneurial and agri-food ecosystem.

A dedicated Best Practices session further strengthened this practical dimension, highlighting the importance of learning from businesses and initiatives already working towards more sustainable and innovative approaches.

From discussion to practical exchange

A key part of FoodXImpact Greece was the interactive workshop, designed to encourage dialogue between speakers and participants and move beyond presentations towards practical exchange.

The session provided space to explore the challenges and opportunities businesses encounter as they develop, innovate and adapt to changing market and sustainability requirements.

By combining project knowledge, business experience and discussion, the event highlighted the importance of turning sustainability from a broad ambition into actions that can be applied throughout the food value chain.

Building connections across the food ecosystem

Networking was an important element throughout the day, giving participants the opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss potential collaborations and build new connections.

Activities such as FoodXImpact play an important role within FoodChase by creating bridges between education, innovation, entrepreneurship and the real needs of the agri-food sector.

The Lamia event demonstrated the value of bringing these different perspectives together and continuing the conversation around how skills, knowledge and collaboration can support a more sustainable food system — from farm to fork.

FoodChase will continue to connect stakeholders across Europe through training, knowledge exchange and activities supporting the transition towards more sustainable and resilient food supply chains.
