With more than 5800 students, including 270 international, and 650 employees PUVC offers, among others, 26 CTeSP (Higher Professional Technical Courses), 26 undergraduate degrees, 26 masters degrees and 7 postgraduate programmes.

Through its 6 schools (Education, Agrarian, Technology and Management, Business Sciences, Health, Sports and Leisure), 4 research units and several departments PUVC is developing more than 90 funded research and cooperation projects, of which more than 25% are international projects.

PUVC is also a founding partner of CiTiN, DATA COLAB and In.Cubo. CiTiN is an industrial technological interface centre aiming to develop applied R&D, Technology Transfer and Advanced Training Activities advanced production systems, cyber-physical systems and mobility and environment; DATA COLAB – Collaborative Lab for Data Driven Services and In.Cubo – Innovative Business Initiatives Incubator In addition to the cooperation developed under the Erasmus programme, PUVC carries out joint activities with institutions on the American, Asian and African continents. In total there are partnerships with more than 50 countries in areas such as Tourism, Agri-Food, Logistics, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Social Gerontology, Mechanical Engineering, Accounting and Taxation, Business Organisation and Management, Teachers Education, Citizenship and Development, Sports and Leisure, Information and Communication Technologies.

As part of its internationalisation strategy, PUVC also promotes the creation of joint and double degrees with institutions not only in Europe but also in Brazil. Also, in its relationship with Portuguese-speaking countries, PUVC has developed partnerships and joint work with municipalities and federal governments in order to support these organisations in implementing their development objectives.
