Greetings from our recent consortium event held on 24 November 2025 at the magnificent Villa Doria d’Angri in Naples!
The meeting was promoted by the University of Naples Parthenope (Department of Business and Quantitative Studies – DISAQ), in collaboration with Cosvitec—project coordinator—and Marea, with the aim of creating a collaborative space between enterprises, universities, institutions, and the research community. The event highlighted the importance of building synergies across sectors to foster innovation within the European food system.
During the conference session, startups and companies from three key supply chains—tomato, cereal, and dairy—shared their sustainability strategies and innovative approaches to reducing waste and valorising by-products. Their contributions provided an up-to-date picture of how Italian agri-food chains are working to reduce environmental impact while strengthening competitiveness and transparency.
Overall, the day offered an inspiring opportunity to bring together committed professionals from diverse fields and explore new pathways to reduce food losses and waste across the EU. The positive engagement from companies, researchers, and students demonstrated the growing interest in reshaping food supply chains through collaboration, innovation, and a shared vision of sustainability.
Stay tuned for more project updates and upcoming events!
